The new editions look like this:
These simulations were recommended in the book, Essentials of Middle and Secondary Social Studies [2014] by William B. Russell, as an example of best practices in education. Russell says, "Di Giacomo has convincingly pointed out that simulation games provide real, authentic learning and that learning is most likely to occur when students are engaged in the material and, most importantly, when they get the chance to do something rather than simply passively receiving information. Simulation games involve students in active decision making and help them see the consequences of good and bad decisions."
